TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language) is the essential exam for entry to universities in the, as well in some other countries. Results are valid for 2 years. TOEFL measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand North American English as it is spoken, written and heard in university settings.

Versions of the TOEFL exam


You can  do the TOEFL exam on paper or on a computer, depending where you live. The exam comes in two formats:

  1. paper-based test (PBT)

  2. computer-based test (iBT)
